Use of cookies on abalun.com
Yoinet Proyectos en la Red SL (hereinafter, Abalun) does not use analytics or advertising cookies on abalun.com. We do not track you from one website to another and we do not show advertisements. For visit statistics we use Plausible Analytics, a cookieless tool that does not store anything in your browser; the details are in the Privacy Policy.
The website only stores or reads data in your browser to remember your conversation and to check that whoever is writing is a person and not an automated program (bot). If it shows you a video from YouTube or Vimeo, those services may store their own data, as we explain below.
This text was updated on 7 November 2026 to reflect how the new website works.
What cookies and local storage are
Cookies are small files that a website stores in your browser when you visit it. Local storage is a similar mechanism: it allows a website to store data in your browser, which is not sent to the server automatically on each visit and which remains until the website or you delete it.
The rules on cookies apply to both technologies, which is why we explain here how we use local storage.
Local storage: your conversation
Name: abalun.chat.v1. It belongs to abalun.com: no other website uses it.
What it is for: it stores the full conversation, your messages, the assistant’s replies and the messages the team writes to you, so that you do not lose it if you reload the page and can pick it up again if you come back. It also stores the language you choose for the website. It is not used to analyse your browsing or for advertising.
When it is stored: only when you have written something or chosen the website’s language. If you only see the greeting, nothing is stored.
How long it lasts: 7 days from the last message or from the last time you choose the language. After that period, the conversation and the language are no longer used and the website deletes them on your next visit.
Security check against bots
To protect the conversation from abuse, our hosting provider, Vercel, runs an invisible check in your browser that analyses technical signals from the browser and the device to distinguish people from automated programs. Our server only receives the result: person or bot.
It is a security measure necessary to provide the service you request, the conversation. Abalun does not use it to analyse your browsing or for advertising.
Third-party videos
Some pages and replies from the assistant may include a video from YouTube or Vimeo. We use YouTube in its privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com) and we ask Vimeo not to record session data.
Even so, when the video loads, your browser connects directly to YouTube (Google) or Vimeo: they receive your IP address and may store data in your browser, such as cookies or local storage. They do so as independent controllers, in accordance with their own privacy and cookie policies, not on behalf of Abalun.
This only happens if the website shows you a video. That data can be deleted in the same way as other site data, from your browser’s settings.
How to delete or block this data
You can delete the saved conversation at any time from the chat itself: ask the assistant and it will show you the ‘Start with a clean slate’ button, which deletes it from your browser and starts a new conversation.
You can also delete abalun.com’s data in your browser. Deleting abalun.com’s cookies and site data also deletes its local storage. In most browsers you can do this from the icon that appears next to the website address or from the privacy settings:
Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Site settings → View permissions and data stored across sites → abalun.com.
Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data → Manage Data.
Safari on Mac: Settings → Privacy → Manage Website Data.
Safari on iPhone and iPad: Settings → Safari → Advanced → Website Data.
Menu names may vary depending on the version; if you cannot find them, consult your browser’s help.
You can also block the storage of site data in your browser’s settings or use a private browsing window. The conversation works the same way, but with storage blocked it is not remembered when you reload the page, and in a private window it is deleted when you close it.
What happens if you delete or block this data
The conversation works the same way, but if you reload the page or come back later it will start from scratch. The check against bots is necessary to chat: if your browser blocks it, you may not be able to send messages.
Changes to this policy
Abalun may modify this Cookie Policy due to legislative or regulatory requirements, to adapt it to the instructions of the Spanish Data Protection Agency (AEPD) or if the way the website works changes. If we ever use cookies that require your consent, we will ask for it before installing them.
